Andy Garman has been promoted to KCCI Sports Director and main sports anchor.

Garman has worked at KCCI since 2005. Previously, Garman spent 5 1/2 years as sports director for KDSM in Des Moines and KGAN/KFXA in Cedar Rapids. Garman began his career at KEVN-TV in Rapid City, S.D. Garman is a graduate of the University of Iowa and an Illinois native. 

“Andy has proven that he has the vision and talent to take our sports coverage to the next level,” says KCCI News Director Dave Busiek. 

In addition, John Meyer has been promoted to KCCI Weekend Sports Anchor. 

Meyer has been at KCCI since 2006, having previously worked at WSEE-TV in Erie, PA. Meyer began his career at HSTV in Uniontown, PA. Meyer is a graduate of Allegheny College in Meadville, PA and a Pittsburgh native.

“John brings energy and enthusiasm to everything he does and has lots of great ideas for our sports coverage,” says Busiek. “Together, Andy and John make a great team.”
