Wednesday's second-round winners at the ATP World Tour's season-opening Qatar
Open, a $1.11 million Australian Open tune-up. Nadal, Federer and Roddick have
combined for 19 Grand Slam singles titles.
Top-seeded Elena Dementieva cruised
to a 6-3, 6-1 win Thursday over Israel's Shahar Peer to reach the semifinals
of the WTA Tour's season-opening $220,000 ASB Classic.
